Description
We are looking to hire a skilled and detail orientated MEP Engineer with expertise in design, installation and maintenance of mechanical, electric and plumbing systems. The ideal candidate must be proficient in using AutoCAD and Revit MEP for creating accurate technical drawings and layouts. A strong background in HVAC, power distribution and plumbing systems, with solid knowledge of safety standards and building codes. Experience in site supervision, troubleshooting and coordinating with contractors and project teams to ensure timely and efficient project delivery is a must. Known for strong problem-solving abilities, teamwork and effective communication skills.
Job Description
- Oversee the maintenance of MEP systems in residential, commercial and mixed-use properties.
- Ensuring HVAC, electrical, plumbing and fire protection systems are functioning efficiently and safely.
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules for all MEP assets.
- Respond promptly to system malfunctions and coordinate corrective actions.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure systems are in compliance with building codes, safety regulations and property management standards.
- Coordinate with authorities and vendors for required certifications and inspections.
- Respond to tenant service requests related to MEP issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Ensure minimal disruption to residents or commercial occupants during maintenance works.
- Supervise in-house technicians and third-party contractors for MEP-related work.
- Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
- Monitor and manage energy usage of building systems.
- Recommend upgrades or changes to improve energy efficiency to reduce operating costs.
- Maintain accurate records of system specifications, warranties, service histories and asset performance.
- Assist in the planning of equipment upgrades and/or replacements.
- Be on-call for emergency maintenance situations involving power outages, system failures or plumbing issues.
- Lead immediate troubleshooting and resolution efforts.
- Support renovation, refurbishment, or system upgrade projects by providing technical input and supervision.
- Ensure MEP work aligns with the property's design, utility capacity and usage requirements.
- Implement and follow all health and safety standards during maintenance operations.
- Promote a culture of safety within the maintenance team.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical and plumbing
- 3-5 years relevant experience a must
- Must have good organisational, time management, and communication skills
- A positive attitude
